Episode #70 - Dr. Nikole MacLellan & "The Fight Dietitian" Jordi Sullivan

All about the recovery on this episode!  Joined by two super knowledgable and wonderful people on this episode!  Dr. Nikole MacLellan is located in Nova Scotia and works as a Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist with alot of local athletes at the high level, from her office at Pro Active in the HRM!  She also runs a podcast, called the OffSeason and is involved in many different aspects of helping communities thrive!  As well, super honoured to have Jordi Sullivan "The Fight Dietitian" to chat about working with his incredible list of athletes like Israel Adesanya, Alexander Volkanovski, Dan Hooker and the list goes on and on!  Stay tuned for another episode with these two in the coming weeks where we will have them breakdown an athlete's habits and nutrition, live on our podcast!  Enjoy this one folks, very interesting stuff!

Sam Micale joined us to chat about his grappling career in upstate New York and how COVID 19 has taken a toll on many businesses in the area!  Kent Peters popped by to talk with the guys about Supernatural Survival Gear and how the business and social media is keeping him going in a positive direction; along with one of Canada's best black belts, owner of On Guard Jiu Jitsu - Matt Kwan joined the round table to discuss BC and why using a platform is so important. Episode #68 - Dodge Sports Agency Edition

Joined by High Profile Sports Agent, Matt Dodge and four of his up and coming clients!  Had a tonne of fun chatting with UFC star, Andre Ewell on Fight Island and overcoming the broken arm is his last fight.  Anthony Romero, a rising Canadian Lightweight spoke about the importance of family and having an agent you can trust really is in sports.  Tobias Baker, recently competing last weekend at SUG popped by to talk about that experience and how important the right gym is to an athlete.   Finally, we chatted with Canadian Wrestling OG, Chris Prickett & his student, Jasmine Jasudavicius on her transition into female MMA and the importance of being a role model for up and coming female athletes!  Enjoy!

Super talented bantamweight fighter out of Quebec, Adam Sako joined us to discuss fighting and where it's left him and what his future may hold.  The current state of the world and how we can continue to listen, talk and learn.  Craig Allen joined us to discuss Fight Night Picks and how the whole youtube channel started, super interesting guy and make sure to give them a follow if you like fight break downs!  Scott McNaughton caught up with up to break down his three amateur fights, losing all of them and what behind the scenes led him to getting caught up in the beard game and the support network it has created for him.  Finally, JM Holland, a black belt under Eddie Bravo and a super tough athlete who has competed pretty much everywhere and definitely holds some grappling history from Combat Worlds and more!  This guy bleeds honesty and no bullshit, my kinda guy!  Enjoy this one folks and thanks for listening!

UCW tag team champions, Team Sabotage had some great insight on what it takes to be a professional wrestler and the why 2020 was the year for them to make the big leap onto the big stage!  Grapplers Against Violence is an incredible initiative started by two amazing men here in the East Coast for people struggling with mental health where they can come together and train and support one another.  So great
 

Episode #62 - Din Thomas & Chris Kelades

Lucky to be joined by MMA veterans and legends Din Thomas and Chris Kelades!  Din is one of the best coaches in MMA and recently left his gym to go out on his own.  We caught up with him while in Vegas to coach Tyron Woodley about being prepared, evaluating what you want as an athlete out of a gym and why Tyron Woodley is misunderstood!  Chris Kelades, one of the best fighters out of Canada jumped onboard to add his keys to staying consistent and making the right moves in MMA to come out on top.  Excellent insight!  Thanks gents! Episode #60 - Michael Lyubimov, Jonathan Goulet & Tiger King's Saff Saffery

GM of Jackson Wink MMA,  the Mad Russian Michael Lyubimov was kind enough to talk about what it's like running a world class facility and how he made it to New Mexico from Russia!  Jonathan Goulet, one of Canada's original MMA athletes and one who led the way for an entire generation of fighters along side GSP and Patrick Cote out of the scene in Quebec before finishing off with the Tiger King's Saff Saffery!  We spoke about what the documentary portrayed, how he dealt with the fame and what it's like now, 7 years after the incident!  Super interesting episode, enjoy!
